The Manhattan bridge spans the East River i New York City and connects Brooklyn to Lower Manhattan. Construction started in 1901, took 11 years to complete and has been capturing the imagination for over a century.
The Empire state building immediately comes to mind when I think of New York City. To me, it's a symbol of hard work, perseverance, and ingenuity. To reach such heights with limited technology was risky and took a lot of guts to complete. The end result seems well worth it.
